Cobo
Bay Hotel Cobo Bay, Cobo (01481 257102)
The Cobo Bay Hotel boasts great views over
Cobo Bay from the restaurant. Most guests tend to arrive early
so they can enjoy a drink or two in the Chesterfield bar
before taking up their table in the restaurant. The menu is an
Anglo-French affair and the standard of cooking is first class
all the way.
La
Frégate Les Cotils (01481 724624)
La Frégate has a light and airy feel from
the pale wooden floors and high backed sandy coloured chairs,
to the gloriously colourful modern art that decorates the
walls. The airy feel is further enhanced by the fact that
every table throughout the restaurant can enjoy a sea view.
The menu is based around fish with delights such as roasted
sea bass and lobster bisque.
Auberge Jerbourg Road (01481 238485)
Auberge’s owner, Ian Irving-Walker has
spent a small fortune on doing up an old pub and converting it
into the fabulously modern restaurant that you see today. The
menu is equally modern with choices ranging from starters such
as butternut squash risotto and warm goat’s cheese tempura
to mains such as duck with Asian spices and orange sauce and
baked salmon with a sweet chilli and mango crust.
Le Nautique Quay Steps (01481 721714)
Set in a converted warehouse Le Nautique
offers a great fish menu with local specialities such as
Guernsey brill, that when served with a ragout of seafood is
quite superb. There’s also plenty of dishes to tempt both
carnivores and vegetarians alike with every care taken to
ensure your meal is a memorable one.
